I've enjoyed watching this local supermarket reorganize and really grow. The cashiers are really kind and they help make shopping with a kid a lot more fun. Fair prices and I've never had a complaint about the fresh fruit or veggies. Meat is always fresh too, as is the fish.
To expensive and cashiers are rude ...even if ur nice..
Nice clean grocery store with good selectionof items. Decently priced too. Reminds me of grocery stores in the south.
It is a good supermarket to have in the area as there are no other closer alternatives besides Stop & Shop.
I love this store. Well stocked, good prices and they try to do right by their customers. Located an employee who happened to be stocking. This probably serves as the top-most reason for me liking this place.
Proximity to the road, along mlk avenue
They have rats and roaches in that store!!! I wasn't in there I was in front waiting for a bus!! I would never go into that place again.....Last year I posted pictures of the rats and roaches
I think Pionner is better than Extra for example some of the meat is not open it has better customer service that is why I think it is better
The employees are very friendly and it's really the only place to get a quick fruit salad in our area
I don't write many reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for the outstanding service I received today at this Whole Foods. I can' t pick out fruit for the life of me. If it's too green or too ripe, I'll find it. So I asked a young man in
Phenomenal place just wish they had a website that show their specials from week to week and their meat plans.
Cute little cheese shop that offered a wide range of cheeses and so many more things. Staff wonderful and very helpful!
My go-to for fresh cheeses. If you want legit, unique cheese go to this shop. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable with their products. The outdoor seating is also BYOB and delicious
This little shop is great. Excellent selection of cheeses, good advice and other neat little items if you're hosting people. The owner is helpful, passionate about cheese and knows his stuff. Whether you like soft cheeses, hard cheeses or just need a little gift for hosts to pair with a bottle of wine, they've got you covered.
This is THE place to buy really good cheese, especially European cheese (they also have American ofc). Great selection! We come every weekend to buy our cheese supply for the week. Staff is awesome, too, very helpful and knowledgeable, always friendly.
Come here every week and the food is always fresh. The meat and fish are fresh daily. The selection is always great and many items on sale.
Mainly I shop here for fresh fish and Vegetables. They are fresh and cheaper here than the other stores nearby.
You can always find something new to try here. It's a little expensive but a lot of fun. Go with an open mind and don't be afraid to ask questions. The bathroom is immaculate.
This spot gives superb service as well as delicious meals. One of the best restaurant ever. The meals arrived rapidly and the prices are affordable. Recommended.
We came to this place for dinner. we heard about this restaurant from a lot of people. Well, it was a winning. we were warmly welcomed by the staff members and we had a great feeling. The meal was great. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.
Really good local deli with wide range of food and groceries. Great prepared food and sushi. Recently renovated.
Located pretty close to the "Exchange Place" path station, this place probably enjoys the luxury of being the only market place in Paulus Hook area.
Lots of interesting and international options both to shop in the grocery section as well as for lunch. Eat in or take out, kimchi to seaweed salad or a hot buffet. Fantastic selection of yogurt beyond what you find in a chain grocery
Nice size market, good spot for salads, sandwiches, and hot buffet as well.
Really great grocery, love the chips and snacks department with so many but good varieties :)
Manager is rude, not professional at all. He doesn’t give you sale price. Not enough items, especially when you go the first day, you don’t find the items. If you find something it’s probably expired. Don’t buy anything from CTown. They
Manager of this location is a blessing even during this crisis he is making it a pleasant shopping experience and I admire people like this keep up the great job and stay safe
Thank you to the manager there for such good job. Specially in this hard times. God bless all of the staff.
The staff here is very nice and you don't get attitude. There is a suitable selection of organic food to buy. It's okay for a small neighborhood store.
The manager needs to learn how to be more professional. I was shopping here almost every day, but I will not shop here anymore. Well, last week I bought two sardine cans. One of them was good, and the other one had a hole on it. I came to
It’s Conveniently located right outside from the Grove St. stop when you take the path. Given it’s location though, I understand why prices are a bit high for a grocery store. Still, buying food here is cheaper than eating out and you know what you’re getting.
This super market has a wide variety of products from different places and for different people. Very diverse which I absolutely enjoyed. PRICEY something’s but really convenient for people like
Extremely convenient to have this place open up next to the Grove Street Path Station.
Everything is overpriced. Just walk few blocks more and go to Shoprite. I had to go back to the store for a cheese with mole and their attitude was nasty. I was really nice d spoke quietly not to make a big deal but guess what? They never apologized.
Terrible customer service at this store with an extremely rude manager. When I went to give feedback that for the third time a (very expensive) loaf of bread I bought that caught fungus and went stale before the best before date, the
Has what you need for a grocery store. It's pretty much the cheapest grocery in the area aside from buying goods wholesale. Unfortunately it's often very crowded even on weeknights. In my experience the best time to go is after 8PM or before 1PM on a weekday. Best to avoid this place on weekends entirely.
This is an older ShopRite which caters to a very diverse neighborhood. I rated it high because of the selection and prices. However, this place is super popular and is always packed! Don't go if crowds and checkout lines bother you. Parking is shared with other businesses and finding a spot can be a challenge sometimes.
I love shopping at this store always has what I'm looking for at a reasonable price that i can afford, and the vegetables are great, also the fruits doesn't have nail whole,I really love shop rite here in Jersey city it's the best
This store is massive, one of the biggest grocery stores in Jersey City proper and its always crowded any time of day. It isn't the cleanest place but I don't think that's the fault of staff (from what I've seen personally anyway). The hot
Good place for groceries. Has a vast variety to shop.
The person at the cash register is extremely rude. Prices are comparatively higher than journal square stores. Store is clean and well organized.
Good place for Indian grocery. They also have a food counter inside.
Love the curry leaves here as they are always fresh. The Indian products (sooji, pickle, mukwas, etc) are fine if you don't want to/can't go to Journal Square, where it's cheaper. However, the prepared food is not authentic: the biryani is made with Spanish rice and they add a 🍒 to it!
This place is a hidden gem. The curries here are extremely delicious, fresh, and affordable. The kitchen and shop space is kept very clean and you can pick up groceries while waiting. Try the palak paneer and vege kolhapuri!
It is a good place to order food for parties and not just indian groceries and vegetables. Their Samosas are the best in town!!! Had ordered food for a party of 10. Dal makhni and naan were delicious.
CONS1. The Topal Company Quality Brand's Pan Sobao is Not Good it needs more Sweetness and Softness. Fresh Pan Sobao is better. They should partner with Los
Phenomenal place just wish they had a website that show their specials from week to week and their meat plans...
great value. I will visit again. recommend the basic grocery: bread, pasta...etc.
I get my yucca here .They cut my yucca..only give me the fresh ones amazing..little jewel in downtown
Visited this place yesterday and the guy at the meat counter yells out "Hey!" to get a customer's attention. How RUDE is that!! Is it that hard to say "how may I help you?" Or "Anyone else waiting to order?" Or even "who's next?" I was

Great place for Hispanic goods.
Good variety of fruit. Nice self-opening doors.
Clean and neat supermarket. Good selection of different kinds of vegetables and fruit. Compitable prices. Some things you can find extremely cheap and very fresh.
IF YOU WANT EXPIRED FOOD COME TO EXTRA SUPERMARKET! The supermarket is very expensive and overpriced. I can find fresher organic foods at Whole Foods for less which is insane for purchasing Mediocre food. This
Definitely a hood supermarket. Cheap meat is about the only positive thibg they have.
Clean store. Well stocked. Courteous staff. Good prices.
Clean, organized, friendly staff, great variety of multicultural products, quick check out service, plenty of carts and parking spaces, fresh cooked foods, great sales, equal opportunity employer, choice cut meats, fresh deli and bakery, pharmacy packed with Spanish meds aswell, ..... great experience.... 💙
It's a local supermarket within walking distance. They have a wide variety of ethnic foods such as African & Spanish (Hispanic) Also have a hot buffet if you want lunch or dinner. Prices are really reasonable too!
Very decent selection and great quality of product/produce.
I’ve been going here for at least the last 5 years. This is easily my favorite local grocer.
A good food market close to Grove St. PATH station. Has pretty much everything one needs.
They have a surprising amount of food that I want for such a small store. Very friendly and helpful
Great market with a lot of items for vegetarians!
It pains me every time I need something at night and end up having to go here for it. It's more expensive than Acme, Shopright and Target, which are all within a 15 minute walk, and feels like they take advantage of Newport residents. I
You really have to review each and every item you buy here. I've never seen a supermarket selling so much expired food, from carrots to yogurts to packaged items. If it was once, I'd let it slide, but I've seen it so often that you'd think
Excellent medium scale supermarket who caters to the need of their customers. They are aware of their demographics and have stock to cater to them. Good selection of everyday item for Indians and Asians too. And the best part is those items
I don’t know where to start one of the most expensive store and I’ve seen many expire products on the shelves. Most important is manager needs to change his attitude to shoppers.
Good sandwiches made to order, but not fast
I really don't think I want to shop in there again. One of the most racist stores I've ever been in. And if it's not their store owners or management, it's definitely security. I've never had an issue in that store and I do not go to stores
Worst place ever. I was there visiting the area and the lady at the register was extremely rude. People work hard for their money at least we deserve good treat. I will NEVER come back
Great selection..... OF ONLY SPANISH/LATINO items. However, they DO have EEEVERYTHING a vatto would want or need!
The employees are really kind, they help me find, my aloe beverage, and they had my favorite brands, Salutti and Aloevine!!!!
Actually it's dosen't even deserve one starI was there today and the cashier was nonprofessional and the manager too .
Considering how small the store is, it is really packed with stuff. Prices aren’t bad and you can get just about everything you need.
This keyfood has kept improving and continuously is adding more vegan, gluten free, and organic items. It can be on the pricey end, but the quality is much better than c-town.
Amazing cuts of meat talk to the butcher and hi will do custom cuts
Good selection given the urban environment and some good deals, you just gotta look
Good for quick groceries. A small store but has a decent selection. Cold cuts are very good with Boar's Head products. Also serves as a UPS drop off station, so you may have a package delivered here if you live in the area. They help at the customer service desk.
I love to go shopping in Sub Hub Market one it's closes late they also have some organic food that I enjoy the stuff is great it's clean everything in order and the prices are great and it's close by
By far my favorite local supermarket. They have a decent variety of products. Fresh produce department. Their meat/chicken/ fish is of high quality. Very competitive prices. But most importantly, the staff there are very welcoming and helpful. Great customer service. Glad to give them my business.
Clean small market with friendly employees. Prices are a little on the high side.
Amazing Amazing AMAZING. Super clean. Huge variety of different foods and the staff is WONDERFUL!!! If you read ANY negative reviews...they must be from other store owners nearby who are jealous because this place is an ABSOLUTE GEM!!!
The store guy refused to sell me a face mask, unless I buy something else from the store along with the mask. He's actively trying upsell to people in need of a basic face mask.
