Food was AMAZING and we did the wine pairing as well. I've never in my life understood how wine "pairs" with food until we ate here. The staff were all extremely friendly and this was definitely one of the best dinner dates my wife and I have been on. We'll definitely visit again the next chance we get.
Great service, great food and all at a reasonable price. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and diversity in dishes. I also appreciated them accommodating allergies.
Simply amazing. I am not a vegetarian but I enjoyed this meal immensely. I had the nine-course meal with the wine pairing and it was just exceptional. The wines made each course very interesting and I enjoyed that very much.it's amazing
Before I get into the food, I just want to say that the service here was incredible! Our server was very attentive to our overall experience at Dirt Candy which made the difference. We were here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and
It’s fine. The food is inventive but not particularly delicious or satisfying. An interesting experience but don’t expect to be blown away
Great neighborhood restaurant serving up German and Austrian classics. Nice and cozy interior. Food is delicious and well-prepared. Service is friendly, though the beginning could have been a little more attentive and consistent. Nonetheless, had a great experience and would certainly come back for another drink and meal!
My favorite place in Manhattan! Great food and drinks. Always feel welcomed here, it's like visiting family. Can't recommend it enough!
Wonderful service and delicious schnitzel! The pretzel is small but worth it. For dessert, the chocolate cake is to die for!
Amazing food and drinks. The atmosphere is very chill and laidback during the day. I Would definitely recommend for a group setting or lunch with a date.
Austrian cuisine. The food is very good but the service is great. They have a special menu to celebrate Oktoberfest which is really good. Portions are Germanic (huge) and is reasonable priced. The Mexican guy waiting on us was superb and very helpful.
My goodness the food here was absolutely delicious. The place was very cozy and the staff was super hospitable. I ordered the arroz y camarones and some black pinto beans and just that was enough to fill me up. Menu was simple, waitress was really nice, food came on time and tasted great and we had fun overall.
The food is delicious and the service is fast. I had breaded steak and rice with beans. Yummy. Oh and the portions are huge.
I don't! Infact, I enjoyed it very much w/my Spouse while eating there.. The food is tastefully made.. Please forgive me for marking it as hateful. The atmosphere is so delightful & encouraging, I'll say. 5 star's I have give it...
Small place but so good! Similar to many of New Yorks most tastiest Restaurants it is definitely a small place that gets a whole lot of people dining in and taking out. Food was great, wait was a bit much but understandable with thy amount
Great food. This place has been in business for a very long time and still has a loyal following. Generous portions and reasonable prices.
The food was good, especially steamed fish and pumpkin seafood rice were excellent, but the service was not good. Waiters including captain had no smiles, looked like they didn’t like the job. To me they don’t have passion for their job.
Absolutely delicious. Great place to experience genuine Chinese Cuisine. Place was clean and service was great!
Must order this chicken dish. Crispy skin but tender meat on the inside. If you prefer less salty, you can order and ask for soy sauce on the side.
ADORE this old school spot, decor is perfect with bamboo booths and intimate rooms. The menu is sooooo long, get yourself a congee and something on the seafood menu, it is worth exploring this menu past your traditional chinese go tos.
Food is worth the money, but unfortunately the service was not welcoming nor professional. From the moment we placed our order, the facial expression of the servers were blunt, lacked inclusivity and seemed almost mad by their voice tone
Love this place. I can't say enough good things. We went here after Art on Paper at Pier 36 on a whim and it was fantastic. Everyone in our group got a different dish and the reviews were all the same....Amazing. The Foie gras was a particular favorite.
The food was great. But the service was less then pleasant. We had reservations for 5.45,restaurant was empty yet they waitress told me we are sold out tonight so we cannot sit you until all four of you are here. Restaurant is empty still
Small venue, but really good food. So far, everything I've had here has been phenomenal. I highly recommend the open-faced egg salad sandwich with bacon. Very good!
I am a Jersey girl currently living in the south of France. I used to love the old Les Enfants back in the day, so I was super psyched to find this new incarnation a few years back. I now make a point of having at least one meal there when
One of my favorite French restaurants in the city, intimate and down to earth environment. Love this place for a date night or catch up with friends.
Quaint little place with fine, light, hearty toasts. Really recommend the curry bread and the matcha avocado tofu smoothie. Only downside is that for the portion it's a little on the expensive side.
The food tastes as good as it looks! Perfect quaint little spot. Would recommend trying one toast and one savory dish! The matcha is amazing would highly recommend.
Stopped in for a midweek lunch at this cozy all day cafe. Someone clacking away at their laptop in the window, another man dining alone, a few people coming in and out for coffee or lunch to go.
Cozy little Japanese restaurant in LES. Spicy cod roe pasta, mentaiko pasta, was great. Toasts were good, but not surprising. Food portions are kinda small; we ordered two main dishes and two toasts for two of us.
(4.5) Great little joint that serves some Japanese-Italian dishes. Got the unigiri & spicy cod caviar spaghetti. I enjoyed both dishes, but I felt the unigiri didn't have enough uni in it.
The wait for 2 was pretty short early on a Saturday night. The place is small so larger parties can have much longer waits.
I truly love this place. Even though you probably have to wait 30 min - 1 hour to get a table, it's definitely worth it. There is many reasons why this place is a hit in the Lower East Side. 1: Everything Vegan! 2: Great service and great
Went there at around 11pm, the waitress was super friendly and still motivated. After choosing one of their delicious bowls (the dinosaurs kale one), I also ordered a drink that tasted wonderful. The food was served quickly, and I really
Started a new job in the neighborhood. A coworker suggested it was good and vegan friendly. She was right, it’s really good. Awesome ambience and good customer service. There is a separate door for pick up. I utilized the pick up entrance.
Yesterday, my family decided to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant, and we greatly enjoyed it. The foods and drinks were delicious and tasty. Besides, the waiters/waitresses there were very nice, friendly, and accommodating. They also
Food was tasty. Bloody Mary was too spicy and not savoury enough for my taste. Be aware of the 2.5% on the total bill that they will charge if paying by card.
Cool decor, and spectacular food (at reasonable prices). Healthy, clean, delicious and imaginative food. This is a find
Amazing little hole-in-the-wall place on Canal Street. Loved the ambience and the food was awesome. Came across this place on multiple lists for best breakfast / brunch places in the city, and I quite agree. Prices are quite affordable too.
Excellent and thoughtfully prepared meals! Would definitely come again!
Found!First there was a market and deli. Then there was a restaurant to customers could eat the items from the market/deli. Then restaurant was so good it needed more
Stopped in for brunch. Staff was amazing- friendly and accommodating. Can’t rate them highly enough. However, food was okay. I got the cheeseburger- meat was overcooked (I requested medium rare), and not seasoned- beef was pretty bland. Bun
I've wanted to try Freemans for quite some time and when I finally did, I'm sad to say that I was disappointed. I met a friend for brunch, we had tried to make reservations online days prior but there was no availability. I went to put my
One of my favorite get away places in NY! Love the Sunday brunch and also their veggie burger. Charming and super friendly team
Amazing. 100%. 10/10. Coolest bar location in NYC. Great interior. Very good food. Crazy good cocktails. Best service ever. Can not wait to go back!
Big fan of the atmosphere. It removes you from Manhattan and creates a dining experience belonging somewhere in distant American history. The wood paired with the dim lighting allow you to feel you are in a suburban sort of trance. The food
The best cream cheese and lax bagel in New York City. It is worth the wait and the price. I don't see a reason to eat anywhere else. You need to come here at least once. I have been living in New York for 12 years and can honestly say there is nothing like it. 5 STARS!
Great bagels, lox and Eastern European Jewish foods. The service is spectacular, and the whole place has a 50s diner vibe. The wait to be seated is long, but worth it. It's a spot that would be a regular restaurant for me
It's a small shop and there's a line. You have to take a ticket and wait for your number. It took around 1 hour for our number to be called and we came on the weekend. Staff doesn't seem to be too friendly and they'll put a number up on the
I came because Ina Garten mentioned this place, so I knew that it must be good. I really enjoyed my food-- I had the bagel and lox board. However, we were pretty much ignored when we arrived, and our service was not warm or inviting. I hope that it was not for the reason that we suspected. Either way, I don't expect to return.
We had lunch at Russ & Daughters after a visit to the nearby Tenement Museum in November 2019. Both The restaurant and the museum are located on Orchard Street in the historic lower east side neighbourhood of New York City. Russ & Daughters
AMAZING!!! My favorite sushi spot in the city. We go there for date night and the service is fabulous. The food is consistently GREAT! They treat us like VIPS and they really don't have to. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. You won't be disappointed- EVER!
I just enjoy their dishes. I always get awesome service there. The place is always clean and the workers are always super friendly. Keep up the good work.
It’s pricey but really good. The ambiance is nice, too. We had several rolls and a few pieces of otoro sushi that were absolutely
Fantastic sushi dinner in a great setting with friendly & knowledgeable staff! Noisy once the restaurant gets busy. Pricey. Overall a wonderful dining experience.
First time here! Our server was amazing.Every weird question we had; he answered! And if he didn't know was the answer he came back with an answer and a sample.
Wow, look at these amazing tamales that look extremely wholesome and even better than the ones that I get in Los Angeles. I pick these up at a discount via the food for all app... how amazing is it to live New York City and eat this amazing
Went there on a Sunday afternoon and there he was, the owner himself and I guess his kids working the business, and Oh man... those tamales...those Tamales are out of this world. Delicious!
Come here early! It’s well worth it. We got there at 5pm on a Sunday and they only had a few tamales left. Highly recommend the bacon with cheese and the mushroom. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of them!
So I almost never give 5 stars, because I’m a harsh rater, but there’s no 4.5 star option. This place is great. I’m not usually a fan of tamales, but the ones here are really good. The other food has been good too. Inexpensive and good
I cannot really even begin to express my love for this place. This is, in my opinion, the best breakfast sandwich for the money you can get in the lower east side. FYI, add sausage. From the superior brioche bun to the flavor of the
Highlight of our trip to the Lower East side! Frantically walking around for a place for a bite before our guided tour at the Tenement museum we stumbled across this place without having high hopes. But what a stroke of luck! Great drinks,
Barrio Chino is the spot to come for a really, I mean really excellent Magarita. If you can get it made by Carlos, even better. Ask for him. Their food is to die for. Having knowledge is Mexican cuisine I love how they incorporated new
I tagged along my friend to Barrio Chino while we were hanging out. I've never been here or heard of the place, really, but upon entering the establishment, I was thoroughly pleased.
Wonderful spot! LOVED the Sangritas with the tequila, excellent!! Service could have been a little speedier. Guac was really wonderful and fresh. Halibut ceviche had such a great flavor, just a bit too much liquid for our taste, but fish was so fresh and tasty.
I've been to Barrio Chino on more that a few occasions, and I would from a food/drink perspective typically rate this a 5/5. I always end up here for brunch, and I will say that Chilaquiles rate up in the top that I have ordered.
Would certainly recommend eating here. Awesome mood, fresh food, excellent customer service. 5 stars.
My wife and I split the chef tasting about a month ago and I am still dreaming about the food. Perfect blend of sour and savoury. Had a couple noodle dishes, a couple rice dishes, the most tender piece of fish in a fish soup. The front of
The waiter rushed us. 4 times! My friend and I were in a rather animated conversation and we were interrupted multiple times. It was so forced that we felt awkward. The sides were served before the main course. I found this service hilarious. The fish was alright but overall the menu was pricey for the quantity and quality.
Amazing food, is only the start. The music is perfect for the environment, the staff is amazing. Love the fact that it's an open kitchen. Flavors are just perfect. Can't wait to go back already.
Great food, awesome spot!! My friends and I went here for brunch and it’s was fantastic. Great manager/owner and the staff was attentive and understanding. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to everyone!!!
Staying with a friend in New York for the holiday so booked dinner here as we wanted a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Had a fantastic meal, great quality food, good mixture of dishes and very tasty. An enjoyable atmosphere and attentive but
I eat here a lot since I work in the area. I must say the customer service is always great and they keep the spot neat consistently. Pricing is convenient and they serve sizeable portions.
I made the reservations online on the website. I was able to make the reservation for the time I wanted and it was very simple. When I got there, I told them my reservation time. I did not have to wait for the seat. They brought me to the
Very clean and accessible spot. They serve generous meals and for affordable prices. We loved the menu very much and the waiters were very personal and explanatory. Recommended.
I simply love their food. I always get awesome customer service there. The place is clean and the cashiers are always friendly. Keep up the good work.
Was taking my sister for her birthday to Freedom but it was a madhouse. We left and saw Trapizzino. Glad we did. Food was delicious..Lentil soup very good. Artichoke were ok. Eggplant calzone like and butter nut squash were both good.
Trapizzino is a great place for small bites in the Lower East Side.Their focaccia bread filled with different ingredients is soooooooo delicious.Place is small but cozy and very Italian.
The namesake trapazzino is delish! We got the chicken one and it was so flavorful and fresh. The bread came out of the over right in front of. We also got the chocolate cake which was phenomenal.
I really liked this place. Everything was fresh and made from scratch. The service was lovely as well. I will definitely be back.
Awesome wine selection! JR was super helpful and friendly and gave us good recommendations. Cozy little spot that serves up what is basically gourmet hot pockets.
First time trying Japanese curry and did not disappoint! Place was casual and servers were nice, food was delicious and not expensive at all. We had noddles and curry Japanese soup, Sapporo beer and was fantastic. When we finished our food, they brought some hot tes to give that last nice detail to our meal, excellent night!
Had their cold soba with eel & avocado salad. Noodle seemed to be a bit undercooked, but generally the whole ensemble was okay. Servers were all over the place due to a very busy Friday night service; they forgot to get me water and utensils even after the food came out. Did not have a pleasant experience.
The space is great! I sat at the bar and could watch my food being prepared and the staff was very attentive. My soba was incredible, served with a small fire under the broth. However, I did find a hard piece of plastic from a container in my soup, which I feel was a one time thing, but a bit negligent.
Amazing place to try different soba dishes both cold and warm. It’s a fun friend gathering place in the middle of cold winter. It’s definitely my favorite!!!
Love everything about the food and place except the fact that they do not allow takeaway of leftovers, and the quantity of the small bowl is already quite large. It's just ending up in the dumps and is saddening given the state of hunger in
My husband and I very much enjoyed our experience here. Warm and cozy atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Very authentic Greek food. The only downfall was that they did not serve Greek style coffee, but everything else made up for it.
Friendly service, delicious food! So glad we stopped by. Beautiful inside as well. Totally recommend this place
Went for a very late lunch with my partner while our son was off skateboarding. In the middle (ish) of Chinatown so stood out as somewhere different. We were seated immediately (around 2pm) and the service was friendly. We changed tables as
Impressive foods! All my favorite foods were right here! They never fail me on my high expectations. Great interior from the outside until the inside part of the restaurant. They strive to provide us the best service that exceeds our expectations. I need to come back because it's a good one. Job well done on the presentations.
What a great place for Greek food! There can be a wait, so if you can go at an off time, right after the lunch rush, around 3pm.
Authentic Mexican cuisine! Awesome drink menu as well. This place is really small, so reservations are strongly recommended.
La Contenta is a family-run restaurant with fresh and tasty food. The vibe and service is very comfortable and friendly. The prices are very reasonable too.
As a Mexican I have to say that this place is amazing. From the moment you go inside the vibe is really nice, the music and the atmosphere is a good complement. Good food and drinks, also the bartender and servers are really nice. Don't hesitate to go to "La Contenta"
Excellent food and drinks. Very small venue so make a reservation if you aren't sitting at the bar. Bartenders are constantly singing and dancing. Very fun vibe. Food is amazing.
My boyfriend and I had a fancy dinner date at this place. We were got fascinated by the place itself. It was so romantic and has a calming ambiance. The dishes that they had was so delicious. Especially, the main course dishes that we had
What can I say about this place? I absolutely love it! One of my favorite brunch spots in the city. It’s a must go! Everything here is delicious!
Was visiting NYC, and stopped by here for brunch with my girlfriend. We ordered an egg dish, as well as the blueberry pancakes. The food was very basic, and not overly good. The staff, however, was extremely friendly and accommodating. This place was also very packed but the line moved relatively quick to get a seat.
Very relaxed brunch spot. Expect a long wait because this place is very popular. However the blueberry pancakes are definitely worth the wait. You can get coffee at the bakery to go while you wait to be seated. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff.
Best Pancakes I have ever eaten. You gotta be there early tho. We waited in line to get a table for 20 minutes and we were there before it even opened. We were on vacation in NYC 2 years ago and we ate a lot of good food but I still think
Fantastic place within easy access of the F line subway. I had the cherry cobbler pancakes -- wow! A bit pricey, but well worth it. If you're going for dinner, get there early -- they open for dinner at 5:30pm. Line builds up quickly.
